Texworld Evolution confirms choice and stays in town

The summer edition of Apparel Sourcing, Avantex, Leatherworld and Texworld Paris goes into the archives with a dowry of almost 6,800 international visitors.

The first edition away from Le Bourget was rewarded by the buyers and therefore it is a foregone conclusion that Porte de Versailles will also be chosen for next February’s appointment, from 5 to 7.

Over 1,350 exhibitors from 27 countries also benefited from the simultaneous presence of Curve Paris and Interfilière Paris.

It was a good way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fair, which also saw the new T-Club space redesigned to encourage trade, a renewed set design at the entrance to the show and in other areas, such as the Trend Forum or the Agora, and a concierge service.

France topped the list of visitors (18%) ahead of Spain, Italy, the UK, Turkey and Germany.

Most of the buyers surveyed welcomed the decision to locate the fair in the centre of Paris. “The world of fashion is becoming increasingly competitive and therefore buyers are more and more demanding in terms of price, quality and durability,” explains Frédéric Bougeard, President of Messe Frankfurt France, “and now we have to do more to attract our visitors and meet their expectations. That is why we have decided to renew our offer, in a new location with new services, to ‘whet the appetite’ and make the visit more efficient. Finally, we will definitely have to go a step further by offering our buyers a more careful selection of producers. We are working on this with our partners, and it will all be on display at the next edition’.
