There will be 45 Italian exhibitors who, under the aegis of ICE Agenzia, will return to Shanghai after an absence from the fair that lasted three years. From 28 to 30 August, the collective participation at Milano Unica Shanghai will take place in the context of the Intertextile Apparel Fabrics fair, dedicated to the textile and clothing accessories sector in which the most qualified sector operators, interested in high-end Made in Italy products, usually participate.
The 780 square metre exhibition area will host the highest clientele of the local and international market. “After three years, this edition of Milano Unica in Shanghai finally sees the full reopening of the Chinese market and is therefore a particularly important sign of restart for the entire sector,” says Augusto Di Giacinto, Director of the Shanghai ICE Agency. “Milano Unica is one of the most significant events of our textile industry and represents a much-awaited appointment for Chinese consumers who are always sensitive to new trends, quality and innovation of Made in Italy. Such a large attendance also testifies to the great interest of Italian companies in the excellent business opportunities offered by the Chinese market.
China represents one of the main markets for Italian exports for the sector. After France and Germany, and in spite of the contraction in Hong Kong, China gains the third position in the export of Made in Italy fabrics, with a positive variation of 7.3%’.
A return to normality that bodes well for the sector, therefore, and records the good attitude of companies.
“At the just concluded 37th edition of Milano Unica at Fiera Milano Rho, the event that welcomed 562 companies, all excelling in our sector, we recorded a growth in buyers from China, as well as from the other main markets. This suggests that the strong growth has returned to focus on what, for Milano Unica, are the fundamental values of the offer: elegance, quality and transparency. Milano Unica Shanghai, in enhancing the image towards the end consumer, represents the extension of our activities aimed at intercepting and satisfying the demand of the Chinese market, consolidating the close relationship that must exist with local interlocutors,’ says Alessandro Barberis Canonico, President of Milano Unica.
Entrance to the Milano Unica pavilion inside Intertextile Apparel Fabrics is reserved for accredited visitors only, who will be able to come into contact with Italian exhibitors and discover creations and proposals that will drive tomorrow’s fashion. This confirms that this is a highly professional business appointment.
